Dear Fellow Photographers,
This is just a gentle PSA from one photographer to another: please make sure your location is visible on all your social media profiles!
Recently, I came across two incredibly talented photographers whose work I loved, and I was ready to reach out to work with them. But after searching through their websites, Instagram bios, and Facebook pages, I couldn’t find a single mention of where they were based. No city, no state, not even a region.
In a field where connection and collaboration matter so much, having your location listed can be the simple difference between gaining a new client (or fellow creative friend!) and losing one. Whether you shoot locally or travel often, just a quick “Based in [City, State]” in your bio or website footer makes a huge difference.
Let’s make it easy for people to find and hire us, or just connect with our amazing work.
